Bloor West Village is a shopping district in Etobicoke. Located along Bloor Street, it encompasses all businesses along Bloor Street between Jane Street and Ellis Park Road, consisting of more than 400 shops, restaurants and service providers. The mix of stores include specialty clothing stores, book stores, restaurants and cafes.
Humber River Recreational Trail runs along the Humber River, which has been designated a Canadian Heritage River because it is a significant corridor for migratory song birds and monarch butterflies. There are more than 60 species of fish live in the river, including trout, pike and salmon. It is also a breeding habitat for ducks, turtles and fish.
Humber Cinemas is a local independent theatre that shows new releases alongside classic films. It is located on the northwest corner of Bloor Street and Jane.
High Park is Toronto's largest public park featuring many hiking trails, sports facilities, diverse vegetation, a beautiful lakefront, convenient parking, easy public transit access, a dog park, a zoo, playgrounds for children, a couple of eateries, greenhouses, picnic areas, and various events throughout the year.
[King’s Mill Park}(http://www1.toronto.ca/parks/prd/facilities/complex/1080/) is one of a chain of parks along the Humber River leading to Lake Ontario. It's an excellent park for hiking, biking and bird watching. It has a designated dog off-leash area, and plenty of great spots for a picnic.
