Winnipeg Festival Brings BBQ and Blues Together in Perfect Harmony
The Winnipeg BBQ and Blues Festival returns to Smith Street in front of the Burton Cummings Theatre on August 19-20, 2016. Now in its fifth year, the Festival features the best in international, national and local blues performers, including Creedence Clearwater Revisited, The Voice Season 10 finalist, Laith Al-Saadi, Doucette, Tinsley Ellis Band and Samantha Martin & Delta Sugar, Son of Dave featuring Ben Darville of the Crash Test Dummies, Cecile Doo-Kingue, Big Dave McLean and more! The full schedule will be released in the coming weeks.
As if that isn’t enough, the LUXE Barbeque Company Pit Master championship barbeque competition will be held with plenty of great food and $10,000 in prize money up for grabs. The competition is open to amateurs and professionals competing for points and prizes. Teams will also compete for a shot at an invitation to the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue Competition (Lynchburg, Tennessee), the World Food Championships (Orange Beach, Alabama) and the American Royal Championships (Kansas City, Missouri). Barbecues don’t get more serious than this folks!

Concert passes are available for headlining acts, which include both outdoor festival site access and reserved seating for the Burton Cummings Theatre for $129.00, $99.00 or $69.00 (2 day pass). Individual concert admission starts at $39.00.
If you are just interested in accessing the Street Festival site for outdoor entertainment, BBQ competition, vendor food and beverage areas, it will cost you $20.00 per day.
The fifth annual Winnipeg BBQ & Blues Festival is presented by 97.5 BIG FM. The Festival also welcomes back returning sponsors, Corus Radio, Big Rock Breweries, Jack Daniels, Manitoba Pork, River City Blues Society, and The Fairmont.
