Romantic Ideas for Valentine's Day

Romantic Ideas for Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to let your love shine, show them that romance is not dead, or even get yourself out of the dog house. With so many special events happening around the city, you can find a unique way to make the perfect statement to your Valentine this year.

Here are four very different ways to turn up the romance on February 14th.

Vancouver Valentine’s Day Events 2015

###Ice Skating in Robson Square

Like a romantic movie scene, ice skating presents you with opportunities to hold onto that someone special. If you can’t muster up the nerve to hold their hand, perhaps holding on for dear life as you wipe out might suffice. Romantic music will be playing all day on Valentine’s Day. Skate rentals are just $4. This is an all ages event.

February 14, 9 am to 11 pm

Robson Square

###The People’s Prom

If you missed your high school prom or have been dreaming of a do-over, this is your chance. Billed as a radical, queer, gender bending, slow dancing, big dress wearing, good time, this is more like Priscilla Queen of the Desert meets Glee. This is a 19+ event.

February 14, 8 pm

Astorino’s, 1739 Venables St

Tickets are $5

###Valentine’s Day Dinner & Cruise

Take a romantic cruise through the Vancouver harbor while enjoying a candlelit dinner followed by dancing.

###Valentine’s Day Snowshoe Fondue

What could be more romantic than fresh mountain air, beautiful scenery, and chocolate? Take a one-hour long, guided snowshoe tour with a group, then enjoy a delicious chocolate fondue in the Alpine Timber Room.
