Things to do on August Long Weekend in Toronto
Toronto heats up for the August long weekend with a variety of outdoor events that celebrate Caribbean culture, and food on the grill.
###1. Scotiabank Toronto Caribbean Festival – formerly Caribana
This three-week cultural explosion of Caribbean music, cuisine, and performing arts, wraps up on the August long weekend with the Grand Parade along Lakeshore Blvd. on Saturday, August 3, and the Chutney Music Festival on Sunday, August 4th.

###2. TD Irie Music Festival
Irie Music Festival is a free, multi-day, multi-city, family-friendly festival program featuring some of the top musical and dance artists locally, nationally and internationally, providing an opportunity to promote a greater understanding between diverse cultures and traditions of Toronto and the GTA– the world's most culturally diverse region.

###3. Scarborough Ribfest
The Scarborough Ribfest attracts 140,000+ people each year for mainly one thing – mouth-watering barbecued ribs. One of the most popular events of the summer in Toronto also features terrific live entertainment, midway rides and games and a variety of other vendors, including other delicious foods.
