Solstice Seasonal Cuisine is one of the newest additions to the 124th Street community. 2011 Gold Medal Plate award-winning Head Chef and Partner, Jan Trittenbach along with his three partners have developed the restaurant and menu based on three values: wholesome food, exceptional service and strong, united communities.

These values translate into partnerships with local and regional farmers like Nature’s Green Acres, Four Whistle Farms and Peas on Earth. The menu is ever-changing to reflect seasonal availability, freshness and quality. Herbs are even grown on-site in Solstice’s herb garden.

The menu is well-balanced and offers just enough choice without overwhelming. The entrée accompaniments outshine the main event, and could be the deciding factor in choosing a dish. Mustard greens, crispy sunchokes, potato mille feuille, and chorizo cream sauce accompany the halibut and prawns. Popcorn gruyere polenta, red cabbage, Brussel sprout greens and mustard pan jus complement the duo of veal.

For starters, try the pig tails with crispy chick peas, edamame and chick pea ragout, bacon jam, everything bagel cracker, and grainy maple mustard vinaigrette. Finish it all off with the chocolate mousse with mini swiss meringue, cardamom almond milk froth, candied cocoa nibs, walnuts.
