Dear Valued Guest,

As you know, these are rapidly changing times as we all look to act responsibly and safely in our response to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

We had recently shared with you a communication advising you some of the efforts Premiere Suites is making to best honour those practices recommended by our national health authorities.

We now reach out to you, to request that you help to protect yourselves, and your greater building community by acting diligently and responsibly throughout your stay.

Responsible use of shared building amenities

As a responsible member of your building community, we ask that you be ever diligent when in contact with shared touchpoints such as; corridors, lobby areas, elevators, garbage disposals, mail rooms, shared laundry facilities, etc. while remembering to continuously observe the practice of social distancing.

Best Practices

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, with an alcohol content of at least 60 per cent
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick, and stay home if you are sick
  • Cough or sneeze into the bend of your arm
  • Avoid touching surfaces people touch often
  • Wear disposable gloves/use a paper towel/sanitized wipe when touching buttons, railings, doorknobs or handles
    • Dispose of the gloves/paper towel/sanitized wipe
  • Avoid having visitors to your suite
  • Have supplies delivered to your home instead of running errands
    • Supplies should be dropped off outside of your suite to ensure a 2-metre distance
  • Practice Social Distancing
  • For further information regarding preventive measures click here

What does Social Distancing mean?

This means making changes in your everyday routines in order to minimize close contact with others, including:

  • Avoid crowded places and non-essential gatherings
  • Avoid common greetings, such as handshakes
  • Limit contact with people at higher risk (e.g. older adults and those in poor health)
  • Keep a distance of at least 2 arms lengths (approximately 2 metres) from others, as much as possible
    • As an example, if you see another resident in the mail room, or using the garbage disposal, keep a safe distance back and allow time for them to exit the area before entering it yourself.

How you can practice social distancing

  • Greet with a wave instead of a handshake, a kiss or a hug
  • Stay home as much as possible, including for meals and entertainment
  • Shop or take public transportation during off-peak hours
  • Conduct virtual meetings
  • Host virtual playdates for your kids
  • Use technology to keep in touch with friends and family

If possible,

  • Use food delivery services or online shopping
  • Exercise within your suite, or outdoors in areas where able to observe social distancing – 2 metre separation
  • Work from home

If you’re concerned you may have COVID-19

  • Separate yourself from others as soon as you have symptoms
  • If you are outside the home when a symptom develops, go home immediately and avoid taking public transit – do not touch any common area surfaces
  • Call your regional health hotline
  • Call or email your Premiere Suites Guest Services Representative. We are here to help.

If you have recently travelled outside of Canada, or have passed through an airport

  • Self-Isolate for 14 days after your return from travel outside of Canada.
  • Self-Isolation means to stay at home and monitor yourself for symptoms, even if mild, for 14 days
  • Avoid contact with other people to help prevent the spread of disease in your home and in your community in the event you become symptomatic. Be mindful of using enclosed spaces such as elevators and avoid touching any communal surfaces or handrails wherever possible
