Halloween Events for All Ages in Ottawa

Although Halloween falls on the 31st of October each year, there are spooktacular celebrations and fright-filled festivities happening all month long around the city. From haunted walks to charity balls, there is something for the kid in all of us to enjoy.

PUMPKINFERNO

A haunting outdoor exhibit of about 7,000 hand-carved pumpkins displayed in cenes from exotic places and historic ages, set against a stirring night-time backdrop just inside the gates of historic Upper Canada Village.

HAUNTED WALKS OF OTTAWA

HALLOWEEN AT RIDEAU HALL

Rideau Hall’s Visitor Centre will be transformed into a haunted dollhouse where toys will gather to take their revenge. Walk through this eerie dollhouse where you might cross paths with your old jack-in-the-box, a forgotten toy soldier or an angry wind-up doll. Rideau Hall staff will be on hand to distribute goodies to trick-or-treaters of all ages.

THE HINTONBURG SÉANCE

Meet at an undisclosed location in Hintonburg to participate in an authentic Victorian séance in which you will attempt to raise the dead. This extremely frightening 90-minute interactive experience is presented in collaboration with Ottawa mentalist James White. This event is 18+ and it is not recommended for people with heart conditions.
