If you really love the fresh, crisp winter air and find yourself longing for it during the summer; or, if you just enjoy winter sports like skating, ice or sledge hockey, heading to an ice rink is probably just the fix you need, no matter the time of year.
There are several indoor and outdoor ice skating rinks in the City of Burlington that are free to the public. The outdoor season typically starts in the last week of November or the first week of December for most, and the season extends until March, weather permitting.
If you can’t wait until then, get yourself to a public skate, or enroll in a program like figuring skating, ice hockey that runs throughout the year and several arenas.
General hours of operation vary at each location so check the City website for facility information. Remember to check with the city or venue on the day you plan to skate outdoors for any notices or closures based on weather conditions or closed skates.
