Neighborhood Details

St. John’s West End is home to many younger neighbourhoods, established in the seventies, and is popular with young families. It is ideally situated close to school, parks, recreation facilities, shopping and entertainment.

Bowring Park is a 200-acre urban oasis with several amenities, including: a fully accessible playground and splash pad, outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts; soccer pitch; skate park; man-made duck pond; conservatory; and walking trails.

On the border of St. John’s and Mount Pearl is the Team Gushue Sports Complex, equipped with a softball building and an indoor soccer pitch.

The local movie theatre is also on the border of St. John’s and Mount Pearl. Catch the latest film releases at Mount Pearl Empire Cineplex Theatres.
